Service terms

Music service terms.

Version v1.0 · Effective September 6, 2026

These terms cover the fixed-price Mixing, Mastering, and Mix + Master services. Production, songwriting, topline, full song development, EP or album work, game audio, and composition are quoted separately and may need project-specific rights terms.

Standard service scope

Mixing · $300 / song

Up to 60 tracks / stems, up to 6 minutes, 2 revision rounds, and a typical turnaround of 5–7 business days after files are received and verified.

Includes a full stereo mix: balance, EQ, compression, automation, effects processing, vocal treatment, creative mix processing, mix-bus processing, basic cleanup, final 24-bit WAV, an instrumental when applicable, and an acapella on request when applicable.

Extensive vocal tuning or comping, major timing correction, arrangement changes, songwriting, new or significant additional production, and sessions outside these limits are not included in the standard fixed price.

Mastering · $100 / song

One stereo premaster, up to 6 minutes, 1 revision round, and a typical turnaround of 3–5 business days after the premaster and project information are received and verified.

Delivery includes a release-ready 24-bit WAV and an appropriate high-resolution / source-sample-rate master where applicable.

Mix + Master · $350 / song

The Mixing limits plus final mastering: up to 60 tracks / stems, up to 6 minutes, 2 revision rounds total, and a typical turnaround of 5–7 business days after files are received and verified.

Payment and project start

Payment is due at checkout for standard Mixing, Mastering, and Mix + Master services.

Turnaround begins once payment is complete and all required files and project information have been received and verified as usable. If a project falls outside the standard service scope, work may be paused and Garrett will contact the client before proceeding.

What “ready to mix” means

A track is ready to mix when the writing, arrangement, recording, production, and major editing decisions are complete.

Extensive vocal tuning, comping, timing correction, arrangement changes, or additional production are not included in the standard Mixing price and may require a custom quote.

Revisions

A revision round is one consolidated set of reasonable changes to the existing mix or master.

Included: 2 rounds for Mixing, 1 round for Mastering, and 2 rounds total for Mix + Master.

Revisions do not include new recording, songwriting or arrangement changes, substantial new editing, additional production, or replacing or adding major production elements. Requests beyond the included scope may require an additional quote.

Included revision requests should be submitted within 14 days of delivery. After that period, additional work may require a new quote.

Turnaround

Mixing: 5–7 business days. Mastering: 3–5 business days. Mix + Master: 5–7 business days.

Turnaround begins only after all required files are received and verified. It pauses while waiting for replacement files, missing information, or client feedback. These are typical ranges, not guaranteed delivery dates, unless a deadline has been specifically agreed in writing.

Cancellations, refunds, and additional work

If a client cancels before work has begun, the service payment may be refunded, less any non-refundable third-party payment-processing costs where applicable. Once work has begun, payments are generally non-refundable because studio time has already been reserved and performed. If Garrett determines before beginning work that a project is not suitable for the purchased standard service, Garrett will contact the client to discuss a custom scope or refund the order. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

If submitted files are incomplete, corrupted, improperly exported, or require work outside the purchased scope, the project may be paused. Garrett will contact the client to provide corrected files or discuss a custom quote. The turnaround period resumes once usable files are received.

Client material, ownership, and confidentiality

By submitting audio or other materials, the client confirms that they own the materials or have the necessary permission to provide them for the requested work. The client remains responsible for clearing samples, recordings, beats, compositions, performances, and other third-party material included in the project.

The client retains ownership of their underlying music and recordings. Providing Mixing or Mastering services does not give Garrett ownership of the client’s song.

Project files are treated as private and are not shared publicly or used in Garrett’s portfolio without the client’s permission. Garrett may ask for permission to feature completed work in his portfolio. Nothing will be published without the client’s approval.

File retention and inactive projects

Uploaded project files may be deleted 30 days after final delivery. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own backups of source or original files and completed deliverables. The storage system is not permanent archival storage.

After 30 days waiting on client files, information, or feedback, a project may be marked inactive. After 60 days without a response, the project may be closed and uploaded files may be deleted. Restarting the project may require a new quote.

Deliverables and custom creative services

Standard delivery includes the final stereo WAV files described by the purchased service. DAW sessions, plugin settings, presets, source sessions, and other working files are not included unless specifically agreed.

Production, additional production, songwriting, topline or melody writing, full song development, EP or album production, game audio, and composition engagements requiring custom rights terms may require a separate agreement covering project-specific deliverables, songwriting credits, publishing splits, producer terms, and ownership or licensing. No default splits, royalties, producer points, or ownership terms are implied.
